It’s arrived! Our favourite times of the year are our bi-annual jazzing up of our menus. Our chefs and mixologists have put their creative minds to work to bring you some superb seasonal drinks and dishes, just in time for Spring. Let us give you a little snippet of some of the new excitements we have to offer, and as for the rest – well you’ll have to come and see for yourselves.
We’ve really injected the sunshine into our cocktail menus so fingers crossed the actual weather will follow suit! From delicate floral notes to crispy and refreshing zesty flavours there’s so much to choose from. And it’s not just our cocktails either, you’ll find some gorgeous new wine and beer as well as a choice few chilled reds, the perfect additional option to rosé for the warmer months.
If you’re a gin lover then our Head Over Heels or our Bees Need Knees are a definite yes. The former using Tanqueray combined with celery juice, sugar syrup and celery bitters for a beautifully light tipple. The latter is made using Botanist gin, Cointreau, lemon juice and honey syrup and is equally as delicious.
For the ultimate Spring/Summer sip the aptly named Summer Nights has got be to the drink of choice; created using Ketel One vodka, watermelon, sugar syrup and mint it’s summer in a glass.
Not drinking? We get it: the zero proof Coriander Spice (coriander, chilli, fresh apple and elderflower) will ensure you don’t feel left out when your friends are on the strong stuff. It’s a great alternative to that fizzy drink or coffee during the day too.
We don’t stop there either, for an uber trendy choice go for the Black Magic featuring beetroot juice, honey, lime and activated charcoal – it’s an acquired taste but one that’s worth tasting that’s for sure.
For a heavenly morning option that will kick that metabolism into gear as well as tasting simply divine the Golden Mango (mango, turmeric, yoghurt and almond milk) is just the ticket.
We may all want more choice to quench our thirst in the sun (when it’s out) but our palate changes too so we’ve added some lighter dishes to cater to just that, and don’t even get us started on our new breakfast menu….
Scrap that, let’s start on the breakfast 😉 We know that Eggs Benedict and a Full English are an essential part to the morning every now and again but it’s always fun to try new things as well and you’ll want to with our offering! For a breakfast with a kick go for our Saffron Baked Eggs with piquillo peppers and chorizo or full the ultimate indulgence our Buttermilk Chicken and Waffle with avocado, sour cream, jalapenos and chilli maple syrup – yep you heard us.
We like to keep the salad lovers happy and indeed there’s certainly more leaf-eating that goes on in the summer so the much-loved Quinoa Bowl has returned but in slightly different style – it now comes adorned with feta, tomatoes & toasted almonds with a smattering of watercress and tender stem broccoli too.
There’s more to life than just salad though you’ll be pleased to know and accordingly we’ve got some other cracking options. Our crayfish flatbread with baby gem lettuce, tomatoes and Marie Rose sauce is perfect for the ‘share n tear’ vibe whilst the pan-fried cod (with crushed potato and artichoke gremolata) and the half roast chicken (with chimichurri sauce) are ideal for more substantial mains.
We wouldn’t want to leave dessert feeling unwanted and we certainly haven’t – gorge on classic favourite Knickerbocker Glory with salted caramel ice cream, plum, honeycomb, cream and almonds or lemon tart with crème fraiche. The menu is your oyster.
