Lucy May had a powerful column about3 month old Janiyah Watkins’ death. Lucy speaks for many mothers and really nearly everyone when she talks about the heartache of reading that story. She hopes that what happened to Janiyah helps prevent a similar tragedy in the future.
We also have a great story by Rick Bird about the famous Andy Warhol painting of Pete Rose. Rick tells us the story behind the story: How the painting came to be. It’s all tied to a special exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Finally, Lisa Bernard Kuhn had a strong story about a local nonprofit that fixes cars to sell to people who need them to get to work. The folks who run Changing Gea rs consider themselves to be like Habitat for Humanity with cars. It’s worth a read.
